Privacy Policy
Effective: October 31, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how YenSense Inc. ("we", "us") handles your information in ZENnoMA, including the iPhone and iPad app, the web app and the browser extension (the "Service").
- We include no advertising or analytics SDKs.
- We never sell your information or use it for advertising.
- Your calendar, Health data and settings for closing apps are handled only on your device and are never sent to our servers.
1. Information we collect and how we use it
- Account information — the identifier and email address we receive from Apple or Google when you sign in (if you choose "Hide My Email" with Apple, the relay address Apple provides). Used to sign you in, manage your account and respond to inquiries.
- Profile and settings — your username, country and region, settings such as language, appearance, color and background sound, your daily rhythm and band colors. Used to display the Service and sync it across your devices. Your country and region are used to light your place on the practice globe. Your username is currently not shown to other users.
- Content you enter — your plans (time, length, name, note, color and sound), templates, today's intention and rituals (the steps of your focus or meditation). Used to display and sync them across your devices.
- Focus and meditation records — start and end times, planned and actual length, whether you completed the session and the name of what you worked on. Used to display your records and sync them.
- Device information — a random number created for each device, the device model (e.g. "iPhone 15 Pro", "Chrome on Mac") and the time it was last used. Used to manage how many devices can use one account at a time (see Section 2 of the Terms of Use) and to show "Devices" in My Page.
- Subscription information (if you start a Paid Plan) — the status, period and renewal of your subscription, received from the subscription management and payment services. We never receive payment details such as card numbers; Apple or the payment service handles them. Used to provide the Paid Plan and respond to inquiries.
- Inquiries — what you send us and your reply address. Used to reply and to improve the Service.
- Automatically recorded information — GitHub (GitHub Pages), which delivers our website and web app, logs the IP addresses of visitors for security purposes. These logs are kept by GitHub; we do not receive them.
2. Information handled only on your device (never sent to us)
- Screen Time (closing apps) — the apps, categories and websites you choose are handled on your device as opaque tokens provided by Apple. We never learn which apps you use or for how long.
- Health — if you allow it, the app reads your sleep and heart rate to show them alongside your records, and writes your meditation time as Mindful Minutes. Health data never leaves your device.
- Calendar — if you allow it, the app reads events from your iPhone calendars and shows them in your schedule. Events are not stored and never leave your device.
- Notifications and alarms — scheduled and delivered on your device. We do not collect device identifiers for push notifications.
3. Sharing with third parties
We do not provide your personal information to third parties without your consent, except where permitted by Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information, such as when required by law or when necessary to protect a person's life, body or property and it is difficult to obtain consent.
4. Service providers we use
To provide the Service, we entrust the storage and processing of information to the following services:
- Supabase — database and sign-in infrastructure (storing accounts, profiles, plans, records, etc.). Data region: Japan (Tokyo)
- Apple — Sign in with Apple and App Store purchases
- Google — Sign in with Google
- RevenueCat — subscription status management (if you start a Paid Plan)
- Stripe — web payments (if you start a Paid Plan on the web)
- GitHub (GitHub Pages) — delivery of our website and web app
Some of these providers are located outside Japan, including in the United States. When a third party in a foreign country handles personal information, we take the measures required by Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information. Information about each country's data protection system is available on the website of Japan's Personal Information Protection Commission.
5. Retention and deletion
We keep your information while your account exists. When you delete your account, your data on our servers is deleted (except information we must keep by law). You can delete your account at any time from My Page in the Service.
6. Security
We take measures to prevent leaks, loss and tampering, including encrypted connections, database rules that let each user read and write only their own rows, and limiting who can access information.
7. Your rights
You can ask us to disclose, correct, delete or stop using your personal information. Please contact us at the address below. After confirming your identity, we will respond in accordance with the law. You can also view, correct and delete much of your information directly in the Service.
8. Children
The Service is not intended for children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We will announce changes on this page. Important changes will also be announced in the Service.
10. Language
This policy is available in Japanese and English. If there is any discrepancy, the Japanese version prevails.
